Sikkim-Kanchenjunga Trek
Trek forests, meadows and mountains of India
Beginning in Delhi, you fly northeast to Bagdgogra and drive up to Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim. After exploring the town and getting acclimatized, you head west to Yuksom to begin your trek. Over the next several days you climb through pristine pine and oak forests, resplendent with magnificent rhododendrons, orchids and ferns, and walk through meadows dotted with wild flowers.
The highpoint of the trek is the 16,204-foot Goecha La (pass), looking out at the magnificent east face of Kanchenjunga, the third highest mountain in the world. You will end your trip exploring Darjeeling - a quintessential British Hill Station.
